So- Dad used to end every conversation we had saying- 'love ya. see ya when i see ya.' So I started using it back to him, and it became our little thing. The only time I used it in my writing was the very last sentence of my book - when I used it to say goodbye.
Covid and the quarantine had just started in Spring 2020, when I started sharing these stories online. I was looking for a way to end them and it seemed fitting to use the "see you when we see you" line since we didnt know when that would be.
And the "I / We" switch off comes from early stories here that were originally from both Priscila and me. So I believe that's where I picked up the "we".
Hope you're well. Need to get down to Cinci for a visit this year!!!
So good, Kelly. Perhaps I’ve missed it in your stories thru the years, but did the phrase you still use often,
“I’ll / we’ll see you when I / we see you.”
come from somewhere before you said it to your dad that last time?

I am envious of your ability to put pen to paper. Thanks so much for sharing these beautifully written pieces.
Thanks for the kind words. Hope you had a great holiday and new years!
